~Welcome To Desmo Blog~

This is where you can know me more

Introduction

Hi... welcome to my hobby blog. Here I will show all the 1/24 scale cars model that I have made.
Ok, here for the first post, I will briefly tell you guys what actually is the 1/24 scale cars model. This 1/24 scale cars model is actually a plastic cars model that is unassembled and uncolored. It requires you to assemble and color the small parts in and outside of the model. Starting from the engine and chassis then the body itself. There are few brands that produce these scale model. Among them are Tamiya, Aoshima, Fujimi, Hasegawa and Arii. However, I personally prefer Tamiya models since most of the model parts are detailed and colored. If until now u still doesn't understand what I'm saying, maybe u should try visit this and you should know then.

I've actually fallen in love with this hobby ever since I accidentally visited a video of the building process of a model car (the 3rd link of the youtube). And by chance during my trip to KL, I've found myself this kinda plastic model at one of the toys shop there.

Until now, I currently owned myself 4 models. You can see them on the pictures below.

Fujimi - Subaru Legacy B4 RSK Limited
(Released on Early Dec. 2003)
Fujimi - Honda NSX
(Released on Late Jul. 2003)
The above 2 models are the 2 that I bought from KL in a shop call ToysCity at Midvaley Shopping mall. The price for both items is only RM 99. The both model are taped together when I saw them. I believed that they were old models and that's why they were sold in low price. Anyway, I fell in love with them on the 1st glance even though there still other models that taped.

Tamiya - Toyota GT-One TS 020
(Released on somewhere during 2000)
Tamiya - Toyota GT-One TS 020 (Full View => Transparent body)
(Released on somewhere 2000)

The above 2 Toyota GT-One TS 020 models were buy from...........eBay and guess what it was my 1st time buying from eBay. I bought both items including shipment cost with a total of RM 200. I know some of you might be saying that is not cheap. But if u do believe me, is actually a reasonable price.
Why would i say that? Becoz,
1st - the 2nd pic that u saw above (Full View model) is the limited edition
2ndly - by considering the market price especially for Tamiya model, it would cost around RM 100++ for a model.

Hoho... now with the models, then must come with the coloring. As you know, this models need coloring and since they are plastic, we can't simply get ourself any spray cans from any hardware store and spray on them. Hence, Tamiya also have it own spray cans. Well, you should guess what I'm saying... $$ for coloring... haha -_-"
The pic that u see above are the painting tools that I bought from a store call the Game Station Enterprise, 3rd Floor in Satok Plaza. Trust me, u can hardly find any store that sell this kinda paints. From the pic, u can see 2Tamiya spray cans, 1 Tamiya Cement(kinda glue designed for gluing plastic), and 3 Gundam Markers. A total cost of RM 118. Damn the Gundam Markers cost the most!!!
Here are the second shopping items that I bought. 1 Mr. Hobby Super Clear Gloss(make shinny), 1 Tamiya Putty (fill in hole, like plastering), and 2 Acrylic Paints (at 1st I thought tis will be usefull when comes to painting the small parts, but I'm wrong as this Acrylic Paints doesn't make easier while painting and it worst even after painting. But to be honest, this paint is designed for air brush coloring and I'm actually using on the wrong way. Hehe.
These are the markers that I bought 2 days ago. After considering how expensive the Gundam Markers were, I would have to consider the usual markers on the market. As u can see on the pic, these are the markers that u can find on the market (except the 2Gundam Markers). I bought these markers from a stole called TechnoGraphics at Satok area. (There was a branch in Saberkas but now is no more). All these markers this time cost me RM 60. Phew... at least i can finally see the lowest price I spent in this post.

Ok then... Thank you so much for reading this. On the next post, I will be showing 1 of my building process of my model. Stay tuned!!!
